Stamp Campaign

This was a paticurly difficult campaign to translate into execution due to the fact that we wanted our to stamp tobe attractive to the eye but still say exactly what all our previous campigns had said.So in this one we decided to mock one of the most popular water brands and turn it into something that would sell our brand for us .So we turned the bonagua logo into a demonic art work.This reaction was of course limited to those who could recognise its original state and make the link to the new one relative to our text.Bottled blood.

Badge Campaign

The R6.66 campaign was an extension of the evil water concept captured by the "you cant bottle me " blog.We converted the demonic symbol into the price of a bottle of water (which ironically is quite accurate) and put that on a rather large badge as due to our long name we wanted the text to remain visible.We tried to use a variety of images in our campaigns instead of sticking to just our logo.This (in my opinion) gives our blog the feel of the element we are trying to protect,as fluid and ever changing as water itself.hahahahahahahahah.......ha

Sticker Campaign

As an extension of our concept that water in its bottled state is a sin to consume because it epitomises vanity(being too good for what is provided to you for free) so we chose to stick to the evil water theme,but in this case we wanted people to question the origins of their drinking water by exhagerating it to prove a point.We wanted to select the most disgusting locations that were unavoidable by people,hopefully with filthy water flowing through them,and place our stickers here .These simply said "Bottled Water" and left the rest to the imagination.Where does bottled watr actually come from??

Stencil Campaign

This was the first of our campaigns and was paticularly difficult as we hadn't yet established what exactly our concept was.Even though it has remained relitavely similar to the theme we have now ,we felt it was rather unrefined at this point.Our aim was to create a question in people minds as to where exactly their favourite brands came from. We tried to find the dirtiest locations in our immediate surroundings, where people found themselves regularly and used this as a metaphor to create these questions.

Manifesto

Water as we all know is an essential part of growth development and worldwide sustainability. Given that it counts as a vital resource in the earth’s life cycle influencing weather conditions, climate control and spans through the different layers of our ozone.

Our purpose is to raise awareness to the increasing idea of having to pay for something, which us humans shouldn’t be paying for. We are at a stage in the world where everything around us comes at a price, and the exploitation of natural resources should not be abused to the point of monopoly where other countries suffer from dehydration and drought due to a lack of even water distribution to impoverished areas. Not only is bottled water crippling our basic human need, it also adds an overgrowing litter problem within our society.

The ideology of having a price tag dangling over a basic benefit enforces issues of a capitalistic society rather than a free world, bottled water forms an integral part of our daily lives such as our work industry and the ecosystem: these contribute an instance in our co-existence and as the business community.

Bottled water shies away from the truth that in fact water in general is a scarce supply amongst people who cannot afford the fortunes to purchase from retail or shop outlets, especially with the demographics and the infrastructure that South Africa has. Considering that this year is South Africa Sanitation year and the conference was held in Durban; our cause is to show the detriment that commercialization can do to harm people by elevating a necessity to their wellbeing. We are highlighting an issue that is not being spoken about and should be shared and explored more considerably.

Our organization was formed as movement against the purchasing of bottled water. We aim to discover what truly separates bottled water from tap water even with the exclusion the obvious method of distribution. We hope to educate people about the benefits as well as the dangers of both bottled and tap water in hopes that they too will reach the same conclusion as we have. We are against the privatization of water and other natural resources as it drives up the prices of these elements making it almost impossible for less advantaged people to afford and makes it difficult for this government agencies to acquire funding to improve infrastructure of water purification facilities. We aim to clear tap water of it's previously exaggerated past of regular contamination,especially in south Africa where tap water is one of the best qualities and is the safest in the world. We will introduce people to ways in which even bottled water has been marred by dangerous contaminations,far more dangerous than any tap water. We will illuminate the environmental impact that bottled water companies have on the natural water Ego-Systems like glaciers,springs,water tables etc by drying them up dramatically , even the overwhelming details of the amounts of fossil fuel based pollution released in the manufacturing,bottling,distributing and selling of bottled water. This plight is one that grows annually and has gained the approval of big NPOs like the WWF,Sierra club and the NRDC. We will examine both forms of water in a social context and if the stereotypes tagged t each one can indeed be validated and will ind out the effects of these two waters will have on the futures of those who drink them,even in an enviromental context. We will encourage people to research the brands of water they consume and consider change for their own financial and biological health. We only hope to enlighten people to the truth and leave the final decision up to them.
